How Starlink Survived May’s G5 Solar Storm

I know there are some readers who dislike Starlink, but I think the technology is interesting. This morning I saw an article about how the Starlink constellation survived the May 2024 G5 solar storm. Note the references to “collision avoidance” and “ion thrusters.” Give the devil is due! This is all pretty cool.

  1. It is pretty cool, but the Devil had little to do with it. It was the work of SpaceX engineers and not of the unhinged and self-regarding clown who merely signs their paychecks. He who pays the piper may call the tune, but he shouldn’t get credit for the performance.
