Sad about Mr. Dobson. Like you I purchased a dobsonian, an 8″ telescope, back in the mid-90s. It was affordable yet powerful and so easy to use. Regardless of all the bells and whistles of the computer driven things now (where you can set it up, go to bed, and wake up the next morning with a slideshow of galactic snapshots — the computer had fun at least!), this simple scope is so convenient to just haul out to the yard and go. It’s a great way to learn constellations and impress your neighbors too. It makes it a very social hobby and more accessible, sort of like simple QRP rigs are to ham radio.
Hi! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing several weeks of hard work due to no back up. Do you have any solutions to prevent hackers? Look at my web page … divorce no lawyer
