Transmissions will begin on Monday, April 11, at<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">14:30 UTC and continue until 10:30 UTC on April 13.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">To preserve the satellite&#8217;s battery, transmissions will cycle on and<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">off. ARISSat-1 will transmit for 40 to 60 seconds, and then remain<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">silent for 2 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">The FM transmissions on 145.950 MHz will alternate between a voice<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ID, telemetry values, SSTV images and audio greetings in 15<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">different languages. One of the transmissions will contain audio of<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">a conversation between Gagarin and ground controllers that was<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">recorded during the historic flight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">A CW beacon will be heard on 145.919 MHz cycling between the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ARISSat-1 call sign, telemetry and call signs of individuals<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">involved in the ARISS program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">BPSK-1000 telemetry transmissions will also take place on 145.920<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">MHz SSB using the new 1kBPSK protocol developed by Phil Karn, KA9Q.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">AMSAT will issue commemorative certificates to listeners who receive<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">the ARISSat-1 transmissions. Reports can be e-mailed to<\/span><br \/><a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/us.mc375.mail.yahoo.com\/mc\/compose?to=Gagarin@arissat1.org\"><span class=\"yshortcuts\" id=\"lw_1302400924_8\">Gagarin@arissat1.org<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> or <\/span><a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/us.mc375.mail.yahoo.com\/mc\/compose?to=yuri@arrisat1.org\"><span class=\"yshortcuts\" id=\"lw_1302400924_9\">yuri@arrisat1.org<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">.
