The Little Black Box of jewels and rocks<\/b><\/div>\n
\n
with lanterns that flicker and glow,<\/b><\/div>\n
make lighter the gloom in my little back-room<\/b><\/div>\n
where often I hasten to go.<\/b><\/div>\n
An anthem it peals of whistles and squeals<\/b><\/div>\n
and voices so ghostly and dear<\/b><\/div>\n
that you’d never decry, should you chance to pass by-<\/b><\/div>\n
what a brotherhood foregathers here!<\/b><\/div>\n

<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Each separate tone has a soul of its own;<\/b><\/div>\n
each voice is the voice of a friend.<\/b><\/div>\n
United through space in this gathering-place<\/b><\/div>\n
at the radiant signal’s end.<\/b><\/div>\n
Reverberant sounds ride the wave that rebounds,<\/b><\/div>\n
like the waves of the sea from afar,<\/b><\/div>\n
reporting the doings, the comings and goings<\/b><\/div>\n
of brothers… wherever they are.<\/b><\/div>\n

<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
A curious band, spread over the land,<\/b><\/div>\n
yet joined from equator to poles<\/b><\/div>\n
disperses the gloom in the little back-rooms<\/b><\/div>\n
by this magic communion of souls.<\/b><\/div>\n
I could part with a lot of the things that I’ve got,<\/b><\/div>\n
but I’ll carry my love to the tomb,<\/b><\/div>\n
of that little black box and the joys it unlocks<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

… when I enter that little back room.<\/b><\/div>\n
