I was a regular listener. <\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"> <strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"> <strong>He obviously had an abiding love for radio. His obituary in the Washington Post notes: <\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"> <strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"> <em><strong>Born blind, Mr. Walker grew up with radio as his constant companion from an early age. <span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">By age 8, he was operating a low-power radio transmitter in his family\u2019s basement, beaming music to his neighbors\u2019 houses down the block.<\/span> He would go on to spend almost all of his adult life involved in the medium in some way, all of it on stations in Washington.<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"> <em><strong><\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"> <strong>Wow, sounds like he had the Knack.
